EDU 145 Pitt Community College The Preoperational Child Discussion

I’m working on a writing question and need support to help me learn.

Introduction:

From preschool through kindergarten, children pass from the preoperational period, through a transitional phase, and into the concrete operations phase of cognitive development.   During this period, representational activities are critical for concept development.  During each period, children have unique ways of thinking that are different from those of adults or older children.  To move through each stage at the pace that their capacities allow, young children need to be active in their learning processes.
