- Recognize and identify 15 different species other than humans! You will need to provide the best approximation to a scientific name, and to a classification. If you do not know the species’ name, make an effort in describing it in details and classifying it, by placing it in a phylogenetic tree.
- You will also be required to identify the abiotic (non-living) components that characterize that specific mini-ecosystem.
- You will have to provide a photography showing the ecosystem and the species that you are describing. You are welcome to provide individual close-ups if available. All images should be your own and original.
- Come up with a cleaver name for the project.
each of your organism’s photos That (you take not google pics) should be organized with:
- picture,
- classification,
- a small description of the organism
- Phylogenetic tree (made by you not by google.).
- Describe the ecosystem that you selected to find the species for your assignment and do your best to identify the type of ecosystem.
IMPORTANT: If you are obtaining information from a source (online, boot, article, etc.) you have to give credit to the author. If the information you used came from a book, website, article, etc. make sure the source is cited. If that doesn’t happen, it can be considered plagiarism.
IMPORTANT!! I do NOT want any direct citations in this assignment. (Do not put direct quotes from a book, article or website).
Discussion: In a few sentences please discuss your findings. Why X and Y organism was found in that small ecosystem.
YOU DO NOT have to do the discussion with ALL your organisms. Just select the most important FINDINGS.
For example,
It was expected to find X species because of the small pound found in Z ecosystem. X is a diurnal species that likes to forage near water (Vega 2019).

Conclusion: What you learned and what you can do better in the future? Make suggestions to prevent a mistake while collecting data, etc.
