The following the rubric for the paper. However, I’m only doing the first three sections. I already have some of these sections written but I just need to further expand on them and add more resources to ensure I answer the requirements. Thank you
Include the following sections:
- Introduction and definition: Define the issue in a problem statement (include previous and/or subsequent legislation or regulation as applicable).
- Problem context and discussion: Discuss the issue’s history. What necessitated or facilitated the creation of the policy? You should Include demographic or statistical trends, current research studies, prior reported policy efforts, and the current status of the problem. Trace previous key elements or stakeholder actions including through the regulatory and/or legislative process.
- Description of Population: What populations does the policy advocate for? Describe the population.
- Stakeholders: Who are the stakeholders? How will they be impacted (e.g., government officials, insurance executives, pharmaceutical executives, healthcare executives, physicians, nurses, patients, and communities)?
- Description of Process: Who had input into the development of the policy? Was public comment solicited prior to finalization of the policy? Describe the process. How is/was the policy operationalized or implemented and evaluated (including fiscal impact-real data or projected issues)?
- Discuss the Purpose: What purpose does the policy serve in its health care arena?
- Strengths/Limitations: What are the strengths of the policy? What are the limitations of the policy?
- Relationship to Social Justice: What impact does the policy have on social justice? What is the impact on vulnerable populations?
- Relationship to the Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing Report: Explain the development, current trends, legislative impact and recommendations of the policy. Specifically, address how it relates to the Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing Report.
- Follow APA Guidelines: APA 6th ed. for manuscript format, grammar, style (third person, academic), and in-text and reference citations. The font of your paper should be Times New Roman, 12 pt and the margins should be one inch on all four sides. Your paper should be double-spaced. Each paragraph must have appropriate citations. It is recommended that you use the APA 6th template as well as Grammarly.com. Your topic must be appropriate, or substantive deductions may result, and the student/ group may be asked to re-write the paper at the discretion of the instructor.
- Length of the paper should be 12–15 pages, excluding the title page, references, and appendices.
- You should include at least ten (10) peer-reviewed scholarly references outside of assigned course reading along with current legislative and governmental website information, which should be used in addition to other references.
