1: Hi class,
I’m an avid Facebook user and I admit that it takes up small portion of my daily life. Every so often I get questionable friend requests that I ignore and later notice that the request and user is deleted. This article discusses Facebook’s new spam-killer which is coded in Haskell a language that I’m personally unfamiliar with so this is also new to me. Haskell’s ability to handle many tasks simultaneously make it ideal for fighting Spam since latency comes less into play due to it’s speed. Check out the article below and give me your thoughts.

2:From what I gather from this article Haskell doesn’t seem like it is a very popular coding language yet its complex enough to keep spammers away. Haskell does seem like it would be harder to learn but from what I’ve read it does have its benefits. Not many people use it or understand it as the article says people would rather use google go and Mozilla rust because its easier to learn. Also when it comes to Facebook a reason Haskell was picked was because of the fact that they could code it to automatically resize images depending on the device you are logging in from whether it be a tablet, cell phone or a desk top computer.
3:This is very true there are going to be more coding jobs in the future.
My company is searching for people who can do coding now they’ve approached my son whom also works for this company his friend and myself to learn coding. They know that I am in school for my degree but they want me to add coding to my list of things that I am learning so that I will be more valuable to them when I complete my schooling, I’m seriously thinking about doing this they are telling us the pay will be worth it.
