discussion board

Hello, i have discussion board to be done , see the details below .

DB:

Acquaint yourself with this simulation (Links to an external site.). Read the description underneath it. Play with the controls and notice the motion of the box. In particular, notice when the box is moving, if it moves outside the field of view on the right it will return on the left side so that the simulation continues until you stop it. The motion should be considered continuous when it returns on the left side while in play mode.

Initial Post

Set the mass to 2.0 kg and the force to 2.6 N. Press play and run the simulation for at least 20 seconds. Describe the motion of the box accurately applying the definitions of velocity and acceleration. While still in play mode, change the force to 0. Again, describe the motion of the box accurately applying the definitions of velocity and acceleration. What would we need to do to make the box stop? (Pressing reset is not the answer.) If you’re not sure, play with the simulation to find the answer.

(i will send calssmate reply later , because i can’t see their reply untile i post mine first )

In your reply post to a classmate correct any errors they made or misconceptions they have. If they did everything correctly identify what they did the best and explain why it was particularly good. Did it help your learning? Explain.

Keeping the force at 2.6 N describe what happens to the motion (correctly utilizing the definitions of velocity and acceleration) if the mass is increased? What forces are affected? Is the applied force of 2.6 N affected? Now, reset the simulation. Leaving the mass at 2 kg press play and increase the force to 1 N. Describe the motion of the box (discussing velocity and acceleration). Remain in play mode and increase the force to 2 N. How did this affect the motion of the box? Increase the force to 4 N how does the motion compare to that of when the force was only 1 N? Now mathematically describe the acceleration of these three situations using Newton’s Law. Does changing the applied force affect the normal force or the weight of the box? Why or why not?
