In this assignment, you will record a presentation video on the communication system of an animal of your choice, which may include visual, tactile, chemical signals as well as vocal/auditory signals. You must do outside research and use at least two separate sources about your chosen animal; at least one source must be peer-reviewed. Synthesize your information into PowerPoint or Google slides and present the information in terms of Tinbergen’s four questions on function/adaptation, mechanism/causation, ontogeny, and phylogeny, as you’ve seen in the course video lectures on frogs, birds, and non-human primates. (You can’t research an animal we’ve discussed in class). The presentation video should be about 5 minutes in length. The final slide should include your cited sources. Your presentation will be graded on its content, logical structure, conciseness, clarity, completeness and adherence to the instructions. It will not be graded for artistic quality or technical sophistication in PowerPoint; clarity and readability are worthier goals.
You can pick any animal except: frogs, birds, monkeys, primates, bees.
I only need the slides. I will record the audio by myself. Make sure the slides take up to 5 minutes presentation.
