  2. Create a New Layer and start drawing your illustration over the thumbnail. Best practice suggests that you’ll also create New Layers for your background (under the illustration) and your typography. When you’re done, you can hide the thumbnail or delete it.


  3. Final Specs:

    Submit a single design created using either Photoshop or Illustrator. As before, the size of your illustration should be 11″ x 14″ at 300 ppi.
    While the illustration can be created in Photoshop, finish the typography in Illustrator. (If you used Photoshop for your illustration, Place a PNG of your illustration in Illustrator to add the type.)
    The following elements should be included in your submission:

    • Drawing/Illustration of the modern tool or appliance.
    • Background – this can be a solid color or a design that you create in Illustrator with the drawing tools therein.
    • A unique and engaging title design.
    • A tag line and/ or body copy that informs the consumer about the appliance. (The goal is to create an advertisement that entices the consumer to buy this product.)
