Final Exam/Project:
Design a teachable lesson for either a sixth-grade or a seventh-grade world history course. Your teachable lesson should include a detailed outline and it must be arranged according to the below guideline:
1.) List your desired Learning Goals and Outcomes 2.) Instructional Strategies
a) Provide a detailed lesson plan; list step-by-step instructions
b) Describe all of the information and materials needed to create your teachable lesson
plan
c) Your Instructional Strategies should correspond with the learning goals
3.) Student Activities
Describe all activities to be engaged in by students
Student Activities should correlate with the learning goals
Student Activities should be appropriate for the developmental needs of student learning
Each lesson should be composed of three sub lesson plans covering the following areas or events, if they are appropriate to your lesson.
a) Politics
b) Economy
c) Social issues or achievements
Duration for each sub lesson: 45 minutes, broken up into two blocks in one dayAssessment: In a short paragraph explain how you will ensure your students understand
what you taught them (i.e. an exam, short summary, etc.) You must not repeat the same assessment for each sub lesson.
Standards: Follow the California Standards or Common Core Standards
