Describing your culture

Introduction

An important aspect of dealing with people from other cultures, and organizing care for them, is the ability to know and understand our own culture. The discussion this week will allow us to reflect on and recognize aspects of our own culture in relation to the material that has been presented in the course and the material you have been asked to deal with.

The guiding question for this week:

How would you describe to others the culture where you come from?

Instructions:

  1. You are expected to post your original response to the question asked by day 3 each week (The work for each week begins on Monday and closes on Sunday night). Initial response- at least 150 words; peer responses(2) 100 words each. Proper grammar and APA format. Include at least 1 reference and in-text citation to all responses
  2. You also have to post responses to two other people in the class by day 7. Your reply to other students should build upon what they have said, relate to your own experiences, relate to particular aspects of the course etc.
  3. You should demonstrate that you have read, processed, and responded appropriately to their contribution as if you were discussing their comments face-to-face.
  4. Please note that no credit can be given for any discussion posted before or after the Monday to Sunday time frame for discussion each week.
