Discussion Instructions

The assignment of business and corporate strategy is at the very heart of strategic management. Briefly discuss or explain the business and corporate strategy for the company you are using for the course assignments, and include the following elements (if your company has multiple business segments, identify one that is especially important to the overall organization):

  • Which customer segments are served?
  • What customer needs, wishes, and desires are satisfied?
  • Describe two or three key business units within the company that satisfy these needs.
  • How closely related are these business units?
  • Explain whether there are opportunities for vertical integration for the organization.
