Demonstrate Your Ability to Coach Effectively

Please submit your self-critique as a PDF, Word (doc, docx), Rich Text File (rtf), or plain text (txt) file. Remember to answer, at a minimum, the following questions:

  • Briefly describe each employee in a short paragraph so your reviewer has a little background on the individuals you’re coaching. You can use the same descriptions from the last milestone and revise as necessary.
  • How did you try to use the thought model in each conversation? Were you able to properly identify thoughts and walk your subject back through the model? What do you think you could do better next time in this area?
  • Was your approach to each conversation more tactical or developmental? Why? Upon review, do you feel that was the right approach? Why or why not?
  • What coaching tools did you use? How did you use them?
  • Which conversation did you conduct first? How did that approach how you went into the second conversation?
  • In general, how do you feel each conversation went? What do you feel you did well in each one? What would you have done differently were you able to have the same conversation again?
