Overview

When considering the type of work you want to do in life, it is important to consider three factors:

1. Talent – what you happen to be natural in

2. Fun – what you would do all of the time, if you could, even if you weren’t paid for it

3. Demand – what people / the market / the world actually wants and will pay money for

Directions

Think of an IT or computer science skill or job you are interested in, and consider how it satisfies each of the three circles in the Freedom Diagram. Provide answers to the four short reflection questions below.

Q1:What computer science or IT skill or job are you considering?Q2:How does that skill or job align with your talents?

Q3:Why is that skill or job fun for you?

Q4:How do you know that skill or job is in demand and can provide an income?
