I’m working on a psychology discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
I chose this topic because no one else did and understanding what makes a informative speech. The word Inform is means to provide information about a subject that is benefit you or benefit the person you are informing. Keep in mind being creditable is crucial when having a oppurtunity to inform others. So for example if the topic that is being discussed is about how a mechine operates, then you would need to have studied it and have proof that you understand the material and explaining it in the way it will be understandable. I recall back within the years there was a general of the US military and he gave a speech that was incorrect. As in the information he provided was false and that got him in alot of trouble. The reason I mentioned this example is because anyone can say anything. When you are informing anyone the words you will be using will not be opinioned UNLESS you briefly said that it is your opinion and those listening understand that this portion is opinionated. This is so important to understand what type of message is being said. With that being said you need proof that you know the material. You need data to support it. Having crediability makes what you are informing more valid. Information is and will always be something we need to be aware on how is saying it and hearing it from the main source.
