The Group Report is a case study report and its structure depends on what is relevant for your company. There are no rigid guidelines applying equally to all companies on how exactly your report should be structured as this depends on the situation of your company. Based on the research you have done so far, the report should at least consist of the following five parts:
1. Introduction and research question:
From a commercial perspective, what are the most important issues that arise from your company setting up its operations in the foreign markets? (300 words)
State your research question clearly and in form of a question – with a question mark at the end.
2. Parent company analysis: What were the reasons for the parent company to invest in foreign markets? whole parts need (500 words)
For example, did the parent company pursue specific aims in foreign markets, such as securing resources, acquiring markets, making profits? Was the foreign investment part of a global strategy? Did the parent company have similar investments in other countries? Was it the first attempt to internationalise?
3. Integration of subsidiary in host economy: How successful was the foreign subsidiary in meeting the targets set by the parent company?
For example, was the subsidiary profitable, did it export resources, did it establish a brand name in foreign markets, did it become a visible part of the parent company’s global profile?
4. Conclusion: Answering your research question:
Here you return to your Introduction and explain how in Part 2 and Part 3 you have examined the research question. State in brief your answer to the research question and say what you found.
