Choose one of the following two questions to respond to.

1. Why do you think the U.S. Mexico border region have been the subject of such close scrutiny, whereas there is little attention to similar areas along the U.S. Canada border?

2. Are Mexicans assimilated, and are recent Mexican immigrants likely to assimilate over time? As do you think the classical assimilation model is the ideal way to Mexican Immigration? Or, would you use a different model to explain Mexican immigration. See week 6 Brown and Bean for the different types of assimilation models.
