The Assignment:
- Make a list of texts you plan to consult. YOU DO NOT NEED TO INCLUDE THIS LIST IN THE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY YOU SUBMIT. This is just helpful for you to organize your sources.
- Ensure credibility of your sources.
Because research conducted using online search engines is becoming
popular, keep in mind that you are working on an academic project (with
an Argumentative/ Research Essay as your final goal). - Be aware of consulting unreliable sources,
be wise in your decision to incorporate a source into your project, and
use your ability to think critically to determine the reliability of a
particular source. - If you are not sure whether a chosen source is appropriate for your essay, ask me, and
I will examine the source with you, so together we can come to a
conclusion whether or not this source will enhance your argument.
Requirement:
First step: make a list (typed and double spaced with one inch margins) of 6-8 potential sources (secondary sources) that you are planning on using in your Argumentative/ Research Essay.
Second step: create an entry of each one of your sources (much like what you have already done in your “Works Cited” page) in MLA format.
Third step: compose TWO paragraphs under each entry ( you can use the Annotated Bibliography Template Revised.docx” href=”https://lbcc.instructure.com/courses/58003/files/4879070?wrap=1″ target=”_blank” data-canvas-previewable=”false” data-api-endpoint=”https://lbcc.instructure.com/api/v1/courses/58003/files/4879070″ data-api-returntype=”File” data-id=”4879070″ rel=”noopener”>Annotated Bibliography Template
I published in this module to help you with your formatting):
~ the first paragraph should describe and briefly summarize the source
~ the second paragraph should indicate
how you are planning on using this source to strengthen your argument,
why you chose this source for your essay, what value does it carry for
you as you construct your argument.
