  1. In the lecture, we analyzed a photo of a gravestone statue of a child. From a disability studies perspective, why might this be offensive? What are your personal thoughts or interpretations of the statue?
  2. Which of the dehumanizing practices discussed in class was surprising to you and why? What contemporary social practices or attitudes may have been derived from these historical practices?
  3. What is so unique about the Americans with Disabilities Act? Why is it such a big deal? Do you feel, from what you’ve learned so far, that the ADA is enough? Why is it, or why is it not enough?
