Step 1:
First, please carefully review your Essay 4 Prompt. Also, don’t forget to check out the Change-Sample 1.pdf” href=”https://gcccd.instructure.com/courses/38647/files/4148688/download?verifier=FiUIDJLa7QKOZwL5pPejU0jFw0slvH5zIaCQq8Qv&wrap=1″ data-api-endpoint=”https://gcccd.instructure.com/api/v1/courses/38647/files/4148688″ data-api-returntype=”File”>Agent of Change-Sample 1 and Agent of Change-Sample 2.
Step 2:
By Thursday at 11:59 pm, submit your rough draft of Essay 4. Note that you will not be assigned a peer review partner if you do not submit on time.
Step 3:
By Friday at 8:00 am, Canvas will automatically assign you a partner. To see who your partner is, come back to this assignment. On the top right, it will say Submitted, and below it will tell you who your partner is (for more info on that, watch the video at the end). It will work the same way it did with Essay 3.
Once you have a partner and access to his or her essay, you will go in and read it carefully, making comments in places where the writer can improve.
Step 4:
Once you are done commenting, answer following questions in the submission box:
- Does the writer begin with a strong lead in? Is it an effective introduction? What details could the writer add to it to better engage the reader?
- Does the writer have a clear thesis that makes an argument that responds to the prompt? (check out the sample thesis in the prompt)
- Does the writer utilize PIEIE body paragraph structure? Is the research incorporated correctly (are sources introduced and/or cited within the text?)
- Are there places where the writer might more effectively transition between ideas or paragraphs?
- Does the writer have a strong Conclusion? Refer to the English 020: Conclusion lecture.
- What did you like most about this essay?
- What are places that the essay that might be unclear to readers?
- What should the writer focus on most as he or she revised the the script? What can be most improved?
- Are there any errors with the MLA formatting
