I have attached a sample Section Three IN THIS post. It is provided merely as one example of how the assignment could be completed. Use your own words when completing the assignment and be sure to include transition sentences to help the reader navigate from one section of the paper to the other.
Be sure to address all criteria for the assignment thoroughly (for example include the weekly calendar). The calendar should be a detailed weekly calendar. Include when you’ll obtain required consent to conduct the study, etc. Again, please read the directions and suggestions that I have placed under the Week 6 tab that has directions for the ARP- Section Three assignment.
Wk 6 – Action Research Proposal: Section Three
Assignment Content
**************–> Complete Section Three: Solution Strategy of your Action Research Proposal. Write a minimum 3-5 page paper that includes the following information:
- Action goal(s)
Provide the goal(s) and an overview for the proposed action research study that you have selected. Example: The goal of the proposed study is to increase the effectiveness of regular classroom teachers in implementing accommodations and modifications for special education students. A three-prong intervention will be implemented to meet the goal, which includes teacher IEP training, teacher/paraprofessional training, and weekly collaboration time supported by the administration.
PLEASE READ SECTION ONE AND TWO (THEY ARE ATTACHED WITHIN THE STUDYPOOL POST), THIS WILL HELP GUIDE YOU AND ENSURE SECTION 3 IS COHESIVE WITH THE OTHER TWO. AT THE END OF MY CLASS I WILL HAVE TO COMBINE THEM INTO ONE BIG PAPER. ALSO LOOK OVER THE SECTION 3 SAMPLE PAPER FOR GUIDANCE.
2. Selected solutions (Discuss the intervention/innovation that will be implemented. Be specific.)
- This is a detailed description of the steps you would take if you were to implement your intervention plan to address or alleviate the problem in your current setting.
- This section is analogous to a recipe. It should be specific and detailed so that another researcher can read this section and duplicate the method with few questions.
- For example, do not say “Teachers or trainers will take courses on methods to modify instruction for diverse learners.” Rather, give the reader specific information and guidelines on how you will accomplish the goal of this plan, with step-by-step instructions to easily replicate the process.
- Incorporate ethical guidelines you may need to consider for your research study.
- Include in the Appendix, a consent form and/or other materials. (include SURVEY FROM SECTION 2, & create a consent form.
3. Calendar plan (select a format of your choice such as a calendar, chart, info listed by the week in a Word doc, etc.)
- Create a week-by-week, operational calendar plan.
- Include specific directions on how you would implement each component of your action research study.
