Write a paper of approximately 250 words that introduces the Latin American country that you have chosen to research for your final project. You will focus on one region or one topic of interest (e.g., politics, economics, environmental concerns). Your paper should include responses to the following questions:

- What is the topic and how is it relevant to the country’s business, politics, economics, and environmental concerns?
- What do you already know about this country, and what research questions do you hope to answer?
- How are the particularistic historical, social, and philosophical backgrounds that have been discussed thus far influential to the way you can formulate these questions?
- Why are you interested in this country and this particular topic?

Format your paper using West Writing Style Handbook guidelines.
Include a minimum of two sources, which may consist of readings from the University Library, your text, and other selections.
