- Write a paper of approximately 400 to 600 words that introduces the topic for your final course project. Your topic must be approved before you continue with the final project over the next few weeks. Your paper should include responses to the following questions:

- What do you already know about these two artworks, and what research questions do you hope to answer?
- What do you think comparing these two works will reveal?
- Which interdisciplinary, technical, and cultural factors will you discuss in the final project?
- On which theme and location will you focus? (Submit your theme and location for approval to your instructor.)
- Format your paper using West Writing Style Handbook guidelines.
- Include a minimum of four sources, which may consist of readings from the University Library, your text, and other selections.
