The issue I would like to focus on stems from the Riverbend City scenario. I would like to focus on the homelessness program. We learn from Geri Patel, Teen Homelessness Task Force, that Ruby Lake is a disadvantaged neighborhood in the Riverbend City with a very elevated homeless population. The task force is a grant-funded project within RCAC to try to mitigate homelessness among the population (Capella University, n.d.).
I have always been drawn into the homeless population and the factors that contribute to homelessness. I believe that this topic will have research that will assist in developing a clear understanding of how to decrease the numbers within the homeless population. The basis of the course project would discover alternatives that tackle the problem of homelessness.
