Response Guidelines

Read the posts of your peers and respond to at least one other learner regarding his or her position.

Your response must be substantive and contribute to the discussion. Compare your analysis to that of your peer and comment on the similarities and differences that you see. If there are aspects of his or her post that you do not agree with, present an argument to support your position. If you need more information from your peer, be sure to ask questions for clarity.

Student post down below:

My biggest takeaway from this course was the importance of collaboration along with the importance of a shared vision. In this course, I discovered that it is important to have partners in any endeavor because with the proper collaboration and organization Can serve more people and present greater expertise. The ability to get along with and utilize the resources of multiple organizations not only benefits the host organization but it also benefits the public at large.

The first factor that builds trust within partner organizations, is a common vision. The common vision is a universally recognized need in partnerships projects, goals, and outcomes (Green 2001). Whenever a partnership begins with a common vision they find it much easier not to become distracted by crisis situations that arise during the term of the partnership. The ability to remain focused on the central goal of the project is essential and it fosters a sense of ownership because everyone has bought into the vision. Whenever a partnership begins there should be a meeting of the partners as well as a meeting of the minds so that you have to buy into the goals of the project.
