RESPONSE GUIDELINES

Read the initial posts of the other learners and respond to two. In each response, ask clarifying questions or suggest other ways to measure the outcomes resulting from the learner’s grant.

Student post down below:

Logic models were introduced in the 1970s, although they did not become part of the commonly used tools available to programs until after the United Way of America. The program logic model provides a concise visual presentation of activities that are the core services of a program. It can assist a program in thinking about the big picture. Logic models can be used during the replanning and development of the program design, including identifying the result of the program intends to achieve (Yuen, Terao & Schmidt, 2013).

How can we prevent violence in our society? This research question is a good fit with the program description which is to address the violence in the community by providing prevention programs and other outreach services to the youth. Measurements to provide data to answer the research question will consist of distributing manual surveys to the youth. The survey will assess the youth’s attitude towards violence using a five-point scale ranging from “1= Strongly Agree” to “5=Strongly Disagree.” Upon completion of the surveys, all results will be reviewed by the Social Worker and Facilitator to ensure all sections are answered before compiling the data.

The integration and implementation of this grant will address multiple forms of violence impacting adolescents and young adults. This will help guide the organization towards successful and purposeful outcomes.
