CSUSB Indigenous Peoples Rights and End Colonialism Paper

1. Please write a short story with a beginning, middle, and end.

Have this story take place in some kind of year – it could be in our year of 2021, but it doesn’t have to be, it could be 500 years fro now, or 500 years into the future, or more than that, or less than that, you choose.

In addition, have a narrator for your short story, and have this narrator be from a different year. For example, if your story takes place in the year 2021, your narrator could be speaking from the year 2070 or from the year 1970, or from 2900 or from 1100. You choose, but have the narrator be from a different year then when your story is taking place.

This narrator however does need to be from our world, Planet Earth.

And she of he or they need to be coming from some kind of historical event before arriving to our present day-  if you want to have the present be ‘2020’, that’s ok too, or 2021 is fine of course too. The historical event your narrator is coming from could be from a war, a civil rights march, a certain day a historical figure died or was assassinated, as long as it is coming from some year and historical event in the past or future *future one is hypothetical and made up of course).

The narrator must also be from some kind of event that involved either Chicanx people, Mexican people, Mexican-American people, Latinx people, Latin-American people, or indigenous people of the Americas.

2. Create a list of 2-3 characters (one of which is the narrator) that could bring to life and act-out the story you have written above.
