– What was the speaker’s topic? What was their position on the topic? How clearly and quickly did the speaker establish their position on the topic?
– Identify two specific strengths in each speech: one regarding argument construction and the other regarding delivery. These should be the two things that stood out to you about the speech. “You had great delivery” is still quite vague. “Your hand gestures complemented your explanation in point #2 to help illustrate the information very well” is the level of specificity you should shoot for.
– Identify two specific areas the spaker can improve, again, one way to improve the argument construction and the other way to improve their delivery. Be specific.
– Offer a concrete suggestion the speaker can try to begin improving in these areas.
