I’m working on a health & medical discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Last week, we critiqued a video that was produced from the Libertarian political philosophy. Some would argue that Libertarians (a focus on personal liberty) are an extension of Classical Liberalists (freedom and prosperity); the thinking that our county was founded on.
This week, we will critique a journal article that was produced with a liberal-progressivepolitical philosophy (not to be confused with classical liberalism-they are worlds apart).
Review the article and post your take-away from the reading. Then respond to one classmate’s posting.
Discussion Question: What is your take-away from the reading this article? Respond to one classmate’s posting.

The take away I got from reading this article is that everything costs and people are always paying for something. Another takeaway I got was that for every gain there can be a potential setback. For example, if a majority of the people support the idea that universal health care is the way to go to make sure every has access however basic then other areas in the community can suffer such as police, fire, and educational systems because taxes will go up to support this. The price to live costs as does the price to die. Money has to be allocated for other things so that the world, communities, and businesses can keep supporting and helping people. If we focus to much on one area everything that has been gained can be brought down in an instant. Employment, food, medicine, education ect has a price. A person cannot think that because they are benefiting from one system they are not contributing to that they get out of supporting another and a good example of this is the taxes taken out from a person paycheck from their job. That person might have private insurance, but they still have to help and contribute to the health and well being of others in the community so that everyone is provided for. (The young pay for older peoples health insurance)
