Often, within the United States, people tend to talk about supply chain management in healthcare without truly considering what those words mean. Supply chain management can directly impact costs, quality, and outcomes in patient care and healthcare spending. After watching the LinkedIn video, write a 2-3-page paper (not including cover and reference pages) that evaluates a current process that can be simplified in your organization, facility, or department. Discuss the new process that can be used to make it easier for all impacted individuals. As an operations manager, you often have to “think outside of the box” or get creative to reduce costs, while continuing to provide quality care.
