2. Find a case where a company/organization went through arbitration or mediation to settle a dispute. – Who were the entities involved in the dispute? – What was the dispute? – How was it resolved? -Was the National Labor Relations Board Involved?
3. Explain Red Lining –Give examples of banks or insurance companies that have done this. -What were the penalties for redlining? -Why did the bank or insurance company do this? -Do you believe these organizations still do this today?
4. Explain the home buying/selling process, including the following: Select (2) banks or (2) mortgage companies, what are the interest rates for a 30-year loan and a 15-year loan. -What are the types of mortgages and the implications of longer mortgages? -Define short sale and explain why a person would want to do do this -Explain tax liens -Explain how and why could someone assume a loan?
