Pretend you are out to purchase a new desktop or laptop. Be sure that your response is in full sentences, follows APA style guidelines (no citations, title page, abstract, etc. are needed), and is grammatically correct.
First, figure out what your needs are; what will be your primary use for this desktop or computer? Will you be creating videos? Will you be just surfing the internet? Will you be saving tons of files? In approximately 500 words, describe your needs.
Next, identify three computers that you would be interested in purchasing. Be sure to include the following specifications for comparison: CPU (manufacturer, model, numbers of cores, clock speed), hard disk (size of the drive, speed measures by seek time and RPMs), amount of RAM (total capacity), monitor (size and dot pitch), price, and other specifications that you believe are important. Create a table in Microsoft Word to allow you to compare each of these computers (do not copy and paste from website).
Lastly, given what you have learned about performance and capacity, which computer would you consider purchasing? Be sure to relate your response to specific specifications and your needs. Did you need fast processing speed? Did you need a fast hard disk drive? Why did you need them and which computer fits those needs best? (minimum 500 words for connecting needs to specs of computer)
