This assignment is for you to find interesting interface designs that you experience.
(Update: These can be from interrfaces you currently expereince and/or interfaces that you see around you — they do not have to be computer interfaces. The ideas from each of these might later be sued for new HCI designs, though!)
There are no rightr or wrong answers to this assignment, it is more guaged to help you gain expereince identifying and writing about other designs — naturally occuring or created by humans — that might be useful in deswigning/evaluating interfaces.
40 Photos (for full HCI Lab credit): Provide 40 photos that are inserted into a simple PowerPoint presentation. For each slide, insert TWO photos — and then write one or two lines that indicate the setting that the photo was taken — and what it is a picture of (name of software, website (& URL), device, location, or other identifying information as is relevant for the subject of the photo. Provide a brief statement (1 – 2 sentences) of why you think the photo is interesting from a design/HCI perspective
Be sure to provide a cover slide that has your name on it. Also, indicate on your cover slide if it is OK to use your photos for future teaching or research purposes. If I do use one or more of your photos, I will be sure to give you “photographer credits” for this. If you say no, that’s OK, too — they will not be shared with other students/researchers.
