1 – Alignment is a moving target and often the internal alignment of an organization is aligned with past business environment and strategy. But less with the current business environment and strategy. How would you assess the match between internal and external alignment in a global company? Provide a pacific example from case, lecture or personal knowledge.

2 – Define Global integration and local responsiveness/local adaptation, as we discussed these terms in the course. Under what conditions would you choose a multi-domestic/geographic division structure over transnational/global matrix structure for your company? Provide a company example to provide context

3 – what are the different modes for entry for a global company to expand into a new country? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each mode of entry? If you were a CEO how would you choose the mode?

4 – Describe a specific international company that you have studied – to what extent do you think the business’s alignment choices might be affected by the culture they’re embedded in? the culture of the headquarters? In what ways does this enable or hinder performance in the current environment?

5 – how can cultural and national differences create challenges for international joint ventures? Present three well developed points, drawing on Cushy Armchair case

6 – How do you evaluate a global companies organizational type? How is the organizational type impacted by the complexity of the global business environment?
