Then conduct an internet search for information on Euthanasia. In 2016, CA enacted the End of Life Option Bill org/hotline/2015/10/margaret-dore-physician-assisted-suicide.php” target=”_blank” class=”external” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>http://jurist.org/hotline/2015/10/margaret-dore-physician-assisted-suicide.php (Links to an external site.) which adresses some of this issue. You can read the text of the new law here (Health and Safety Code starting with 430) http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displayText.xhtml?lawCode=HSC&division=1.&title=&part=1.85.&chapter=&article= (Links to an external site.). Assume that this event (Euthanasia trial) occurred in California. Based upon the facts of the case and the new CA law:
1. If you were the prosecutor in this case, would you charge Lesley Martin with a crime? If so, which crime and why that specific crime? If no prosecution, why not?
2. Should Euthanasia be considered a form of justifiable or excusable homicide? Why or why not?
