II. Essay questions. Write a well-constructed response. Choose one of the following essay themes listed below; the
particular essay question will be presented the day of the exam. Be sure to have a clear introduction, and thesis
statement. Make clear right away which tales you are discussing in your essay. Defend your argument by using specific examples or quotes from at least three different tales you have named to support your
argument, and write a conclusion. Treat only the tales we have read in the second half of the semester or those
on the posted list. Remember, your conclusion ideally adds new insight or a twist you have not yet mentioned in
the essay. Mention at least three tales in your essay. The length is up to you, but be as concise as possible. 25
points.
