The assignment is to create a comprehensive cost estimate based on the generic plans for the warehouse (located in the Resources Section of Sakai entitled Generic Plans (USA-Keating)). The estimate is to include only the Divisions that are typically associated with Civil Engineering. You will not need to include items from other CSI Divisions. Such things as light fixtures, toilets, air conditioning units, etc. are NOT to be included. Include all items associated with sitework (paving, utilities, etc. (including hazardous material cleanup/excavation), concrete, masonry, steel, and rough carpentry (hint: include the wood nailer for the roof) AND overhead and profit. Itemize job office overhead. A spreadsheet (Estimate Template (Class)) is located on this site for your use in preparing the estimate. You can find unit cost/pricing information at www.allcostdata.info or use any other sources such as R.S. Means, ENR, BNI, etc.
