Consumes River College Technology Effects Language Discussion

I’m working on a writing discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Next, read this recent article in Market Watch about the language of r/WallStreetBets posts on GameStop. (If you are not familiar with this unfolding story, please read a few articles; it’s fascinating).

How else does technology influence our use of language and the landscape of our interpersonal dialogues? Think, for example, about Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit; how do these (and/or other) social networking platforms influence the way we use language? To what extent does mediated communication connect us? And, to what extent does it limit our connection?
