Assignment 1: Consultant Evaluation

Review an experience you have had with a consultant, internal or external, in your workplace. If you have not had any direct experience with a consultant, base your responses either on your readings or on your research of a company you admire. Imagine how you would consult with them on a specific topic of interest to you. Support your responses using scholarly resources.

Keeping the consultant’s role in mind, answer the following questions:

• What were the reasons the consultant was engaged?
• What do you think the consultant did well? What could he or she have done better?
• Do you think the consultant’s work resulted in the intended impact? Why, or why not?

Write a 150- to 300-word response to each question.

By Saturday, July 25, 2015, post your responses to the appropriate Discussion Area. Through Wednesday, July 29, 2015, review and comment on at least two of your classmates’ responses. Assess the rationale given for the evaluation of the consultant’s work.

All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.
