Objective: To demonstrate Knowledge as to Population, Sample, Parameters, Statistics, and Sampling
Collection Methods
I. Based on your knowledge of Data and Sampling, please present discussion as to the difference between a Sample
and a Population, including a relevant example – Using the following as Suggested Headings, in grammaticallycomplete
construction, to create effective, substantive paragraphs, as well as Proper Citations/Complete Reference
Information, as per APA Style:
A. Data Represented By a Population
 Please provide description, discussion, and rationale as to what constitutes a Population
 Please include Relevant Example(s) [your BSAD221 Project 2 Dataset, can be used for instance]
B. Data Represented By a Sample
 Please provide description, discussion, and rationale as to what constitutes a Sample
 Please include Relevant Example(s) [your BSAD221 Project 2 Dataset, can be used for instance]
II. With respect to your knowledge of the various types of Sampling Methods, please present discussion and
explanation as to the following Data Collection Methods: Non-Probability and Probability-based Methods for
collecting a Sample from a Population – Using the following suggested Headings:
A. Data Collection Methods – Non-Probability v. Probability-based
 Please provide descriptions and explanation as to the difference between Non-Probability and Probability
Methods
B. Using a Probability-based Method
 Please discuss how would you collect a Sample to ensure it was a Probability-based method
 Please specify the Sampling Method(s) would you use, and how would you employ it (them) *Evaluation
High-Quality Discussion/Explanation – Sample, Population, Sampling Methods 70 Points
Effective Construction of Rationale/Discussion, Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation 15 Points
Accurate Citations and Complete Reference Information – APA Style Format 15 Points
*Your Evaluation will based on measurable criteria (e.g., numerical continuum – from Exemplary to
Failure for Critical Thinking work; alphabetical scoring – from A to F Scale for Exams, etc.) that provide
evidence as to your consistently (or inconsistently) achieving (or failing to achieve) specific academic
competencies outlined within the learning objectives. In particular, Case Analyses, Essay responses, all
Written Reports, and Verbal Discussion will be sources (i.e., Learning Events), from which Critical
Thinking will be assessed, as part of Grading Criteria.

Objective: To demonstrate proficiency in the Data Collection/Summarization, Descriptive Statistics,
Interpretation of Data, and Descriptive and Inferential Statistics, using Various Statistical
Methods/Techniques
Requirements:
1. Please locate a set of Data from “EBSCOHost” The Data
Set must include at least 30 Observations and at least 3 Quantitative Variables – 2. Please summarize the Data Set using Descriptive Statistics Tools {i.e., Tabular, Graphical, and Numerical
representation} discussed in class. If your Data Set includes more than 3 Variables, please select 3 to
analyze. At a minimum, each variable analyzed should have one Graphical depiction and a Set of
Descriptive Statistics.
3. Please create a Confidence Interval to estimate the population parameter {i.e., Mean or Proportion} for the
variables selected above.
4. Please include a Simple Linear Regression Analysis (Scatter Diagram, Linear Regression Equation, R
(Coefficient of Determination) and R2
(Correlation of Coefficient) – Brief Comments as to whether Model is
Good Fit – Relation of 2 Variables! 
5. Please locate other Data related to your Data Set (e.g. relevant articles about your topic, a comparable Data
Set) and evaluate this additional information in conjunction with your Data Set. You must have a minimum
of 2 related items incorporated into your report.
Please prepare a typed-written Report summarizing the above. Your Report should include the following sections:
1. Description of the Data {i.e., what it is, the types of variables, the source} – Including Citations
2. Description of Statistical Analysis performed {i.e., Descriptive and Inferential}
3. Description and Interpretation of the Results
4. Description and Interpretation of articles and related source material—including relevant citations
5. Overall Conclusions on your Data Set
6. Reference List – APA Style
7. Appendix: Statistical Output, Tables, Charts, etc.
