Compare and contrast

Now that we’ve gone through the different modes we’re going to tackle this term, you have the opportunity to inject a bit more opinion. Remember to handle this responsibility carefully: there’s a danger to go off into a rant where cause and effect is concerned, and logical fallacies can rather easily crop up. Be mindful of this.

Here in Elko, where I’m based, we can see a lot of cause and effect when it comes to the growth of the town and the gold industry. In the Indy 500 a couple of years back, a fuel strategy resulted in a rookie winning the race. There are countless effects from countless causes every day.

I want you to write one. Much like compare and contrast, you can write this in either two paragraphs or three. Remember audience, purpose, context, and that your word choice matters.
