Columbia College Teaching Professional Development Plan Paper

Develop a long-range plan for professional development that reflects all the needs identified in your CMP. The plan must include any identified needs so that other teachers will embrace the philosophy of the CMP and be ready to implement it. Additionally, the plan must also identify the venues by which the needs are to be met. When writing a Professional Development Plan for the CMP, ask yourself the question, “What training needs to be done in order to make the CMP successful?” That involves, of course, the teacher of the new curriculum, but it also may involve many other people at the school.

Use the Professional Development Plan from the Wiles and Bondi text as a model. You will not necessarily have something for every column of the plan; it all depends on your CMP from Week 6 and what is needed to make it successful. Your plan should reflect pertinent state standards which govern curriculum and instruction. It has no page-limit requirements, but must be double-spaced, use one-inch margins, 12-point font, and follow other APA format requirements. Include any pertinent in-text and reference citations in APA style.
