Student post down below:

For our plan to be effective, the Teen Homelessness Task Force must go through a re-organization.  With this goal, they will be able to define the individual roles as well as get into a role that they would enjoy doing. This re-evaluation will allow the task force to be on the same page and ensure every teen is help effectively. It’s their main goal to end teen homelessness. To gain better control, a teen homelessness campus will be opened. On the campus there will be a home facility for boys and girls. We will implement a health center as well to ensure that the teens are able to receive healthcare. The next goal it to implement an educational center. Having this center will allow the teens to continue with their education. Some teens will have the option to opt for their GED instead. So many teens give up on their education once they become homeless. The next goal is to create a mentorship program. The previous successful participants will be able to become a mentor and assist the teens at the campus. Having a mentorship program will encourage the teens will assist them through the program as well as after they graduate. The last goal is to create a resource center. The highlight of this program is teens can work for a local employer to learn job skills in a co-op capacity. Other than the co-op, eligible teens can get help with resume writing, job searching, interview skills, etc. The resource center not only assist with career search, but also one can gain resources on housing and other program such as finance and self-help.
