The Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) law enacted in 1993 is set to improve government accountability and stewardship in the Federal government and to link resources and management decisions with program performance. This law requires that all contractors with the federal government meet the criteria established by the law and comply with data collection protocols submitted to the Office of Budget Management each year.
