CO 226 Monmouth Cultural Diversity Recognizes Numerous Existing Cultures Discussion

Your understanding of the ways in which cultural diversity is socially and historically constructed.

Step 1: Define cultural diversity and cite your source. Explain in your own words what cultural diversity means to you based on its definition and what you’ve learned in class.

Step 2: Define the term “social construct” and cite your source. This semester we’ve talked a lot about social constructs. Give an example of three social constructs that you can think of based on what you’ve learned in class.

Step 3: Now that you’ve researched social construct, what does it mean when something is historically constructed? Give an explanation.

*Steps 1, 2 and 3 should all be written as a narrative the way you wrote the narrative for Vision Board 1.

Step 4: By pulling the above info all together, create a vision board like the one you did earlier in the semester using 10 pictures demonstrating how cultural diversity is socially and historically constructed.

I have attached a copy of the book for class (Communication Between Cultures) and an example vision board along with a narrative that you can use for reference. 🙂
