You have been hired as a graphic designer for a famous Movie Studio. Your first project is to come up with a movie poster design for the next big SUPERHERO OR SCIENCE FICTION blockbuster.

Utilizing a provided Photoshop (.PSD) movie poster template file which is attached, create a SuperHero or SciFi movie poster by non-destructively combining 2 or more images together into one seamless and credible composite design.

1. MODIFY the template file which includes the poster background and text.
2. COMBINE 2 or more Photoshop image layers together non-destructively using layer masks to blend layers together and control what portions of those layers are visible. Use these composited (blended together) layers to create a design that is realistic in appearance and that meets requirements (listed in the Project Description).
3. Come up with a fictitious movie: Create a new SuperHero or Science Fiction character or place an existing one into a brand new movie concept. In this particular case I think this could fit into the Science fiction side of things.
4. Edit the template text to include the name of your:
a. Movie Title: Evil Doesn’t Sleep, So neither will I.
b. Movie Subtitle: Sleep is a crutch anyways.
c. Actors
d. Actresses
e. Producer
f. Writer

NOTE 1: You can move the text around and change the format but make sure you include all the movie poster elements included in the template.

Document Setup (template provided)

Width: 8.5 inches
Height: 11 inches
Resolution: 300 Pixels/Inch
Page Orientation: Portrait (Tall)
Color Mode: CMYK
Background Layer: Black
Fonts Used: Bebas Neue Regular and See You At the Movies from www.DaFont.com

Submission requirements:

1. The completed Photoshop (.PSD) file. Do not merge the layers together.

2. The individual images (2 or more) used to complete your poster design.

3. A JPG version of the completed project..
4. Include all of the fonts used.

The final requirements is this:

a. Where did you find your images (include URL if image was downloaded from the Internet)?
b. What modifications did you make to the images (describe what you did to complete the assignment)?
c. What software applications did you use to complete your project?
d. What fonts did you use to complete your project?
e. How did you use layer masks to build your design and how did using them help you create a more professional looking poster?
