Write a comparison essay on the two stories that I have attached as PDFs using the thesis and main points as well as the essay checklist that I will provide.
Thesis: In both stories, there are some interesting similarities and differences in the way women are portrayed.
A1. Main point- Women are expected to be housewives in both stories.
B1. “The Murder”- Jelkas father telling Jim how to get Jelka to listen to him to be a dutiful wife. Jelka is Said to make food for Jim and take care of the house like a dutiful wife.
C1. “A jury of her peers”- The men talk about Mrs. Wright not taking care of the house and keeping it clean like she should.
D1. Similarities and or differences- Both Jelka and Mrs. Wright were expected to keep their house clean. Both women were also at the house
