Part 1: will be a probation violation report based on role play scenarios that are posted in the week 9 module. Which role play you decide to base your report on is up to you. You can pick either one.
- APA formatting does not apply to this report. The specific report format has been provided in the week 9 Readings and Resources and is named “PV Report Format Outline”. You will use this exact format only.
- Part 2: will be a 3-5 minute video presentation of the report simulating your testimony in a courtroom. You will need to answer the following questions in your video:
What is your name?
Where do you work? (Feel free to pick any parole and probation office)
How long have you worked there? (18 months or less, your choice on exact amount)
What is your job title? (Parole and Probation Officer).
What are the specific allegations. (List each one in order).
Fully substantiate each violation, in order.
What has been the offenders conformance while on supervision?
What is your recommendation for a sanction?(make sure to fully articulate why this is an appropriate recommendation)
When recording your video, please assume the court has requested you submit your testimony by video due to social distancing guidelines not allowing in person testimony to be conducted. Therefore, please dress professionally, as if you were actually in the courtroom.
