After the guest lecture on April 12th, you will be asked to submit an essay about the presentation in the lecture. The essay should address the following three perspectives:
1. What have you learned from the guest lecturer’s presentation?
2. How will the concept of “health disparity” and knowledge of people with disabilities impact your future actions, including those related to your career?
3. How could you improve the living conditions of people with disabilities?
Requirement of words: 800 – 1000 words
Points: 35 pts
Due date: April 26th 11:59 PM CST
Rubric:
Good (30 – 35 pts): student addressed all three questions in details. The essay is genuinely written and has a close and strong connection to student’s own experience and thoughts.
Pass (20 – 30 pts): student addressed all three questions but some questions are only answered briefly. The essay is written based on student’s own experience but lack of strong connection.
Not Pass (0 – 9 pts): student did not address all three questions. The essay is written based on stories from third party (for example, news articles or internet) and does not show any connections with student’s own experience.
The grading will focus primarily on the content instead of the grammar or specific wording.
