Checklist Reflection on Instructor Feedback (Rough Draft of Research Paper

If you submitted a rough draft of the Research Paper, please review the feedback I left you carefully on the grading rubric and/or submission comments. Make a checklist, in your own words, of 3-5 things you can work on and why when preparing Sunday’s final draft of the Response Essay. Your reflection should be 100-200 words. Please simply type directly into the text box for this assignment rather than uploading a Word document. Be sure to use 14pt font since it is way easier to read, and use complete sentences. Bullet points are OK. Also, since we are nearing the end of the semester, this is a friendly reminder that the maximum extra credit permitted in this course is 30 points.

Sara:
You have no questions included in the Submission Comment, so I will address 5 things to work on:

1. When introducing a source in-text, you need to provide more information and you need to do a much better job on distinguishing between what you have to say and what others say. Please review “Quoting Sources Using MLA” for help with proper source integration.

2. Please use bold-face for your thesis.

3. When addressing the opposition, use better transitions/templates to make it a bit more clear that you are acknowledging and/or refuting a counterargument.

4. Your essay’s organization and paragraph breaks are unclear. Work on an argumentative structure. Each body paragraph needs to make a claim that should clearly relate back to the thesis.
5. Your Works Cited page needs proper information and formatting, and you need to avoid outdated sources.
