The Project Management Plan (PMP) can be developed for either a fictional project or a real-world project that is focused on the students’ professional interest area. The course is structured so that elements of the PMP will be developed as the course evolves. Work on the PMP will generally parallel with course readings, lectures, and case studies. The PMP is a significant component of the course grade. It should embody the principles of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as applied to the specific project and incorporate ideas contained in class lectures and discussions. At the conclusion of the semester, each group member will rate their own and their group members level of participation in creating the PMP.
