Chapter 7 India and Southeast Asia 1500 BCE to 1025 CE Discussion Question

I’m working on a history discussion question and need a sample draft to help me learn.

Answer these two questions:

Chapter 7: India and Southeast Asia, 1500 B.C.E.–1025 C.E.

Discussion Question:

Buddhism, with its emphasis on the individual and opposition to the caste system, should have been widely popular in India. The benefits brought to the society by Buddhist ruler Ashoka should also have increased Buddhism’s popularity. Why did Buddhism fail to gain a larger following in India, and similarly, why did Hindusim fail to attain a greater following elsewhere?

Chapter 8: Peoples and Civilizations of the Americas, 200–1400.

Discussion Question:

How did the different environments of Mesoamerica and the Andean region affect the development of civilizations?

Book: Richard W. Bulliet, et. al., The Earth and Its Peoples, vol. 1: to 1550, 7th  (Cengage Advantage Books, 2019), ISBN-13: 9781337401487.
